Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared he would not engage in conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's calls for peace. The chat took place over the phone, during which PM Modi expressed India's readiness to mediate peace efforts in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

There is no military solution to the dispute, according to Modi. In addition, he underlined his appeals for diplomacy and the need to respect international law, the United Nations Charter, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states while also calling for an end to hostilities, according to an official statement.

In the statement, it was also noted that PM Modi stressed the significance India places on the security and safety of nuclear facilities, including those in Ukraine. He emphasized the grave dangers to the environment and public health that come with the endangerment of atomic sites.

According to reports, the Ukrainian President referred to the four regions of Ukraine that are currently under Russian occupation — Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson — and noted that all of the aggressor's decisions are void because they do not alter reality and are intended to attempt the illegal annexation of Ukraine's territories.

According to a statement from the Ukrainian president, Zelensky further emphasized that Ukraine will not engage in negotiations with the present leader of the Russian Federation and added that the nation has always been dedicated to a peaceful resolution through dialogue.

However, he continued, "Russia did not support dialogue and ultimately proposed purposefully harming this process. In my speech to the UN General Assembly, I laid forth our precise plan for achieving peace. To do that, we are prepared to collaborate with our partners.
