Taking over the G20 presidency is an occasion for pride for every Indian citizen, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also noted that LIFE- Lifestyle for Environment will play a significant role.

After a summit of the leaders of the G20 in Bali on Wednesday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo formally turned the presidency of the group over to India. From December 1, 2022, India will hold the G20 presidency in a formal capacity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that every Indian citizen should be proud of assuming the presidency.
"We'll have G20 summits in a variety of our nation's cities and states. All of India's incredible diversity, inclusive traditions, and cultural richness will be fully experienced by our guests. We hope that every one of you would take part in this special occasion in India, known as the "Mother of Democracy." Together, the G20 will catalyze change on a global scale, according to PM Modi.
Given that the world is currently dealing with geopolitical unrest, a slowing economy, and rising food and energy prices, he predicted that India's G20 presidency will be inclusive, ambitious, definite, and action-oriented.
He added that India will collaborate with the other G20 countries to close the digital divide. The overarching concept of our administration, "One Earth, One Family, One Future," will include the idea of "data for development" in full.
Today marked the end of the two-day G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia. Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union are all members of the G20.
The G20 is a forum for international economic cooperation and includes two-thirds of the world's population, over 75% of global trade, and 85% of the global GDP.
